Katja has undergone vigorous and intensive training to enable her to teach Infant Aquatics Survival lessons. With 200+ hours of in-water training, Katja was trained by Pedia Swim in Orlando (one of the leading swim schools in the state for this technique and also has been awarded in the Swimming Hall of Fame). Katja has worked with hundreds of infants, toddlers, school age children and even autistic children in the Brandon, Valrico, Riverview, Seffner and Apollo Beach Area. Katja is a member of the United States Swim School Association, Infant Aquatics, World Aquatic Baby & Children Network (WABC), and holds current certification in the American Red Cross Learn-To-Swim Program (WSI) as well as Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
Katja's top priority is always to stay up to date with current changes, laws and new teaching techniques that will help improve and strengthen the kids skills and to educate herself and the parents to make this a memorable experience.
In addition Katja's background is early childhood development where she holds accreditations from California and Florida. Katja has worked in select child care learning centers and is excited to be able to take her love for children to nurture and guide them through the early years of their lives.
Katja Borosch is excited to offer underwater photography services by Christi Curtis of Unique Portraiture. Christi is a professional photographer that specializes in Children's and Family Photography. Katja and Christi have been a "team" for two years now and they've become very close, as Katja taught Christi's daughter Leila to swim.
Christi usually comes once a month to capture your children's beautiful view of the underwater world.
